PM sent, hope it's of some help, I certainly wouldn't stand for RM's position on this one.In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0

I would also push this one further. Although, you do seem to have a lot of issues on eBay. I know it's been said before, but I would look carefully again at your listings to see if there's something making you a scammer-magnet.They deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0

What examples are there that would make a seller a scammer target?
As someone who will have to claim first, this thread is unsettling . But there's no way I'm taking any bull, I have my POP, I sent the item, so someone's not playing fair, but it isn't me.0 -

In my experience, buyer demographic has a lot to answer for. I sold about 2 dozen copies of "the Fast and Furious" DVDs, and "lost" about half of them.
Also items at the cheaper end of the market can attract people who sometimes can't differentiate between getting a bargain and outright fraud/dishonesty. A friend of mine went into selling ex-Argos and chainstore jewellery and had no end of problems with the items that went for about £5. She started sending everything recorded which reduced her losses significantly, but also killed off most of her margins in a competitive category.<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -

You are still responsible for non-delivery, and will be held so.
You can claim off RM - you have no choice but to refund the buyer, though, since as likely as not it is not their fault the item they paid for has not turned up.
This is part of the risk of selling online - if it is not worth the risk, then stop doing it

Thanks for all your input.
Just to quote the letter
"To clarify, where your customers do not reply to the P91 (denial of receipt) letter we dispatch, we conclude that the items were received. As we are regulatedm we must acquire certain forms of evidence to establish claims are eligible for compensation, one of which is written confirmation of non delivery, therefore we can not pay for items on the basis of the submission of claims. Enclosed is a template letter for a P91 letter we provide to customers should they wish to implement this as part of their procedure when an item is declared lost."
RM sound very convincing on this matter that no more claims will be paid for unless hard evidence is produced that the item was not received.
