Due to the volume of business the NHS does with Microsoft they offer a scheme to employees where they can buy discounted software.
All you need to do is go to https://www.microsoft.com/uk/nhs/licensing/home-user-program/default.mspx and enter your NHS e-mail address.
They'll then send an e-mail to that address - click on the link in there to verify and you'll be taken to the ordering site.
I've just bought Office 2007 for £17.31. For comparison - Amazon are selling it for £87.98 so that looks like a good discount - however it's
actually a lot more!
The version you get via this scheme is the Enterprise edition that includes Access, Outlook, Publisher, etc. (on top of the Word/Excel/PowerPoint/OneNote setup you get in the Home version) - see http://office.microsoft.com/en-gb/suites/FX101635841033.aspx for a comparison chart. It's not possible to buy the Enterprise edition via normal retail channels but the closest fit would be the Ultimate edition - that comes in at an eye-watering £487.98, so the saving is about 97%!
Cheers

Cheers for the heads up Alan.0 -
Hehe, no problem Ralph. The scheme used to be pretty difficult to access (you had to find the relevant person in your organisation and fill out a form, etc.) but now it's all web based its a pretty smooth ordering process.
Cheers

does it come with any restriction with regards to re-selling?0

Yes - it's only for your own personal use (and technically only for as long as you remain an NHS employee). You're only allowed to purchase one copy. I've e-mailed them for clarification on installation on both a PC and a laptop though (this is allowed with the Home & Student version so hopefully with this version too).
