Online application form problem A&L account

I have filled in an application form to get an Alliance & Leicester Direct Current Account, all but the last button is pressed. However, there is one tiny problem. They asked for my addresses of the last 5 years. I haven't lived in this country that long but when I tried to input my German address it wouldn't accept it due to the different address format. So I went back and amended the time of having lived at one of my two English addresses so it made up 5 years. I could not have filled in the form without doing that but will I get into trouble for it? I tried to phone their phone line but they closed at 6pm sharp. Could I phone them on Monday and explain and have it altered so that my addresses are correct? I have nothing to hide but I wanted to apply online because of quidco. But if I abort the applicaton now that will be lost I suppose.

sjcjd, is that a general customer services phone number? If so, I might try that, if you give me the full number by PM, thanks. I tried to phone the number they state on the website for opening that account, which is 0800 068 6069. I just see that there is also one for enquiries: 0500 95 95 95.

I spoke to them this morning and apparently it is not a problem, they amended it and I am accepted for the account.
