HP Deskjet 3050A

Hi there, I have been looking at the HP Deskjet 3050A, seems to be available widely at around £35. I like the thought of wireless printing plus it's compatible with both my iPad and my PC.

Anybody got any thoughts or experience of it?

Thanks

£20 from HP. Free next day delivery.

I bought one when it was £25. Does the job.

expensive when it comes to cartridges, use the search button above there are quite a few replies to the ink on them,
i remember posting on 1 company that will refill the cartridges for £6.99,
cartridges for the printer are around £18.
personally i wouldnt touch one with a 20ft barge pole,
I would suggest looking at epsons wireless range and before choosing look up the price of the cartridges before buying ANY PRINTER

Thanks for your replies, im now considering HP photo smart 5510, having looked at the ink, am I correct in thinking that it works out cheaper for ink where the ink comes in four or more invidual colours? Will also look at Epson.

Cheaper in as much as you can replace only the colour you need, combined colour cartridges can be the most expensive

For compatibles, though check for other prices

    IMPORTANT NOTE
These cartridges require you to remove the chip from your old HP cartridge and attach it to the corresponding area on the new cartridge. Please visit:

    for more instructions.

Please note that due to currently varying UK stock these MAY come without the chip extender. In this instance the chip will need to be stuck straight to the cartridge.

    Evening all

Just an update, ordered the printer via the link provided by Aliasojo on Sunday and it was delivered yesterday. Went for HP 5510 which cost £35 with free delivery, also went via Quidco. Strangely, when I accessed the HP website via search engine rather than use the link on this thread, the price was £69.99 and noted that prices were also much higher for other printers. Anyway, happy so far with my purchase, thanks again

I believe that the link with the cheaper price on it is the one that is used to provide HP staff (and corporate customers' staff) with HP products at a very low price.

For some reason, the general public can access this printer page but, if you try to access anything else with the same domain titles, you are barred from doing so.

I bought the 3050 printer earlier this year when it was £25. It's what it is - a cheap printer and we use it as a second, handy printer and copier. You can get original HP cartridges as a twin pack (one each, black and coloured) for about £18 from www.7dayshop.com
