tobacco will kill insects so is a kind of insecticide
vinegar at 13p in sainsbury or asda is only 5% acetic acid so if you water it down it will be much less effective.

A Neem oil and soft soap mixture is good on white fly and aphids too

When I bought some years ago I would have had to sign the poisons book before I could get it. I cancelled the order as the cost of the respirator needed to use it safely was excessive.

On our paved drying area I've used a solution of salt, soap powder vinegar and bleach. Wouldn't recommend this for earth that you have living plants in though!

Not now, withdrawn, too dangerous. They were 40% nicotine shreds and you put a small pile at each end of the greenhouse, light it and run like hell.
