Or you can just remove it from add/remove programs (under the add/remove windows components tab)."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

Thanx, just tried to remove it from componants tab and it does remove but I've just tried it to test it reactivating it again from the list and it started up automatically again, it kept all log in details etc. This computer belonged to someone else before us so its signing into someone elses account atomatically when its on.
Thing is other people will be using this computer so I just didnt want them activating the win messeger again because of that I really want to remove it completely from the machineThanx

I've always gone into a Command Prompt window and typed:
RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\INF\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove
and pressed Enter...
But then again, I'm an old DOSser!

open windows live messenger and go to tools and options. Change all thigs to remove from starting up and then go to accounts tab and remove the account.
Then go to add remove windows components and take it from there.Things that are free in life are great, well most of the time :beer:0 -
