My employer is closing our local depot and moving us 20 miles away , they will be paying us a disturbance payment for the first year and what i would like to know is whether this payment is taxable or not ??
any help would be appreciated

Not usually...Speak with your HR department. Clarify directly with a HMRC enquiry centre for your circumstances. Generally if you got the money to pay out on expenses related to this move then it's not taxable.Hi

Surely it would just be for the cost of commuting to the normal place of work, and therefore taxable? :cool:0
