Honda Accord 08 Tourer
Options
I am looking at buying this car, spec as follows:
Honda Accord 2.2 CDTi Exec Tourer with Sat Nav + HFT
08 plate with 85k, FSH
It's a friends company car that is due for renewal and I can get a VERY good price.
Is there anything I need to look out for or be wary of with these cars?

My 08 Accord was bullet proof throughout its life despite being treated like a prop for 'Dukes of Hazard II'
Accords can eat brake pads and discs (the disc are pretty thin, its a Honda keep the weight down design thing) so you might want to see what's left in them. Also icdti's can have clutch issues but not very often in Accords so make sure it bites nicely and do a test drive with a high gear pull just as its coming into power at 2000rpm and check for slip.
Accords handle really well at speed but can be a bit reluctant to swing the nose round tight urban corners, keep decent tyres on the front helps, the back is happy with any old elastic bands. Some have been known to have exhaust manifold cracks so have a listen in the engine bay but it would probably have happened and been fixed by 85k if it was going to.
Biggest let down is road noise, if you can live with it then its not a problem, gearbox is sweet and then engine so refined you can forget to change up and sit on the redline without realising... unusual for a diesel to be so sweet all the way round the rev counter.0
