Me v British Credit Trust
Hi,
I went BR in Feb and my OR was not interested in my car as there was more outstanding than what it's worth. The problem is i had an arrangement to pay half of the monthly payment, but when i phoned up to pay it they said the arrangement was cancelled.
I don't know what to do now, i know i have an option to voluntary surrender it and they were supposed to send me the forms out if i chose this option. I haven't had any letters and can't be bothered calling them.
They did say they can go to court and get the car back that way and due to me going BR they would win.
Any ideas what i should do as i have paid nearly £10k on this car and still owe £5.100

If you dont call them and sort it out you could well be on your way to another BR.
They flog the car at auction as a snatchback it sells for peanuts and they bill you for the outstanding figure.
Its really in your best interest to start being bothered and sort it.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
^^^^ Agreed.
I'm not sure why the OR didn't want to include this in the bankruptcy seeing as you were in arrears with it anyway and you claim the car is not worth the outstanding debt.
Doesn't make sense to me."Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100
