Struggling to find any dry cat food with a lower fat content than this bar the hills r/d diet ...

Are they overweight then? I would have thought that fat content isn't the only consideration. Go-cat, for example, is very high in cereals from what I remember. I don't know enough about cat nutrition to know the best ingredients/formulation but you may be better off concentrating on finding a good with good quality ingredients and a high meat-content to avoid the carbs, which may be contributing to weight-gain. Or is there an actual health condition requiring a strict low-far diet, like pancreatitis?
Zooplus might be worth a look, they seem to sell a range of European brands that often have fairly good quality ingredients at a lower price - you're not paying for a top brand like with the stuff available over here.
Bozita at 14% fat and a fairly decent looking amount of chicken - http://www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/cats/dry_cat_food/bozita/251142
Doesn't list the fat% as far as I can see but does make a point of being low fat/low calorie - http://www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/cats/dry_cat_food/true_love_dry_cat/186666
Rice as the main ingredient but chicken second, only 9% fat - http://www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/cats/dry_cat_food/josera/65502
10% and some good looking ingredients - looks more expensive but consider that you will probably feed less of it due to the better quality ingredients - http://www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/cats/dry_cat_food/mastery/260122
10% and a little cheaper - http://www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/cats/dry_cat_food/nova_foods_trainer_cat/nova_foods_trainer_personal/259498
10% again - http://www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/cats/dry_cat_food/perfect_fit/990140 -
Burns - dried food - cheap but mostly available online.0

mmmmm sorry but I doubt it as it's PAH own make & it's not sold anywhere else AFAIK
Mine used to love it but went off it a while ago when they changed the recipe (hate it when manufacturers do that!).
I also see the "composition and nutrients" tab has disappeared for it from the PAH site - but is still there on other brands .... a bit odd!
I use Royal Canin Light 40 http://www.royalcanin.co.uk/products/products/cat-products/feline-care-nutrition/light-40 which both of mine love - still 10% fat tho'Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)
2016 Sell: £125/£250
£1,000 Emergency Fund Challenge #78 £3.96 / £1,000Vet Fund: £410.93 / £1,000
Debt free & determined to stay that way!0 -

Burns Cat Food is great and they only need 60g a day. My cat is sleek and slim on it and it is recommended for most medical issues as it is pure. You can email their vets if you have a question0

How sad, poor cats living on horrible dry, dehydrating rubbish cat food

If you want a decent high protien lean meat cat food then go for raw food. I just cannot understand why people want to feed that over cooked/ dry rubbish health hazard food to their beloved cats

Look for foods with a high meat content - Go Cat is only 4% poor quality meat and lots of carbs, which cats struggle to deal with.0

Daisy, like Orbit before her, gets both wet & dry,as she does not drink any fluids,I have to feed her a wet food to ensure she gets hydrated thru the jelly.
However unlike Orbit, who ate a good quality wet food,Daisy is a junk food cat when it comes to the wet food. She does get cooked chicken or whitefish once a week, but she won't eat it raw...
Typical fussy woman!:p0
