Popped into my local store and there was a heated but hushed (if used know what I mean!) Discussion with 2 management/supervisor staff ..one,was saying that the night shift were taking boxes of the bleach home before the day shift had the chance to buy ... I have worked in retail for over 25 yrs n never heard such things on the shop floor...Yeah staff are entitled to the bargains but where I have worked we have shared some between staff n then put on sale for public.. I have just worked out what they were talking about

McDougalls plain flour down to 20p for the big bag.

SEL showing several brands of sun cream had been reduced to 50p, but the shelf was bare in Portsmouth.

Boys clothing had been reorganised with sale item at 50% off, some winter type items reduced by 70%. Section of girls clothing had been cleared, with a few bits out at 50% off.

It was £7ish in my sainsbury yesterday with a sign saying 70% off. I picked one up to buy but then put it back. I will pop in later to see if it has been reduced again today.
