At S@insbury's at Kingsway, Derby today, the Christmas cheese truckles - eg wensleydale with cranberry (small, around 2inches diameter) - were marked down to half price (50p each from £1) but went through the till at 1p! The sales assistant said it was just because they wanted to get rid of them.

BBE were mostly the next couple of weeks but there were loads left. Not sure if this is store specific though.

I saw them marked at 50p the other day, but thought it was expensive for 80g truckles (given that I got 500g of cheese for £1.50 on NYE) but will be back to investigate tomorrow

Gift wrap 4m and gift tags were down to 20p and 10p today
Cheese boards from £5 to £1.20 in the Worcester store.

Just a bargain I found in Sainsburys, Stabilo Fineliners, pack of 20 different colours discounted to only £4.99!! They come in a plastic case and last a long time - I've had them before, when they were discounted a few years ago! I haven't bought them since seeing as the price is usually so high - so worth a look at your local! Bought a couple of boxes as these are always good for kids for school;)

After checking other stock, I found the Stabilo 10-pack of the same fineliners (however less colours, obviously) for the same non-discounted price of £4.99, which makes the 20-pack a complete bargain!)

Bought a couple of huge jars of vegan mincemeat for 17p today - exp Nov 14.

Dried fruit is so expensive these days, I'm going to use it to make fruit cakes during the year - at least it saves soaking.
