Mobile phone question

Can someone recommend a SIMPLE device, either to buy or download to transfer text messages from phone to computer to save.
I have bought and downloaded in the past, but couldn't get either to work. Ok I'm not hi tech, but there must be a nice easy gadget out there somewhere.

You can do this with Nokia suite which comes with the phone or is a free download. Assuming you have a Nokia of course.

I do, but since I downloaded update it won't work.....and yes I've tried every "solution" known to mankind, and many hours.

what are you using to connect the pc to the phone with?? ?

you need either a lead, or a bluetooth dongle(if your phone has bluetooth), or is there a card reader on the front/back of your pc to put the phones memory card in.

then you need the software.

Nokia PC suite worked fine till I downloaded up date. I've been on site tried everything they suggested but no joy, hence my request for gadget.

6.82, I've uninstalled it and drive several times as advised, still won't work. So annoying because old version was ok.

So go back to the old version using system restore or find the old version on the net somewhere.

I have always stuggled with PC suite and trying to achieve anything! I have now changed to Sony Ericson, but want to get the messages off my old phone before I donate it to my daughter.

What version did you reinstall? I will download it too and hope for the best.
