Driveshaft gaiter replacement

Hi,

Cars going in for its MOT on saturday. Been around it and tested/checked as much as I can. Apart from number plate bulbs the only other thing I can see is the gaiter gone. Wheel side one not engine side ( to dark to seeengine side without a ramp )




Gone are the days of doing this myself ( and I might have considered fitting a sticking boot but they sound not that great ) to my 93 micra.

Anyone any idea of how much this is likely to cost to repair please?

Sorry cannot tell how much you will be charged, but:

Is the MOT place a small business with a garage.
Mention it to them beforehand and get an estimate.
Get some estimates from various garages tomorrow.
It should be way less than £80, because the part is only around £20

It'll be the cost of the gaiter (about £10 no more at an educated guess) plus an hours labour. I'd estimate around £50 or so all in?

If it's the outer CV boot, I paid £40 for each one (both fronts needed doing), though I did have a quote for £30 each.
