Tablet suggestions please?

Hi there,
My daughter is hoping for a tablet computer for her 11th birthday at the start of May. iPad is out of our price range but thinking about samsung galaxy or similar.

Preferably looking for a new unit at around £200 - any suggestions?

Many thanks, Chris.

Thanks a lot for the link Geri, that one has some good reviews. Do you have experience with the brand yourself? TBH I'm a little anxious about buying an unknown brand and dread buying something that isn't responsive/reliable.

A lot of those tablets for £70 are pretty poor and don't really do anything very well.

If you were looking at a Samsung galaxy tablet if I was you I would look at second hand iPad 2's

New they are about £330 now so second hand in perfect condition you could pick one up for £250 or less,
    Debt
    Barclaycard (0% for 29 months) = £2500
    Barclaycard (0% until September 14) =£476.93
    Barclaycard (0% until October 14) = £390.82
    Barclaycard (0% until May 16) = £105.58
TOTAL DEBT = 10364 (aim to clear June 16)

The Vega mentioned above is known for being pretty decent for a 10-incher and its price but they are quite difficult to get hold of now.

I've mentioned this recently but I'll say it again: the Ainol Novo7 Elf 7" tablet is the best bit of kit I've had for the price in a long time. Stick a decent ROM on there and for an 11 year old it will do everything for her and more.

What do you mean by stick a decent rom on there? How is this done?

You can't go wrong with the £70ish MOMO9 tablet posted above, I've recommended it in previous threads. I have a re-branded version of it and you can't beat it for price, its running the latest android and it would be perfect for your daughter. Theres good support for these tablets online as well.
