Eeek! Lots of replies!! Thanks all :)

It was bought brand new from the BMW garage although much less than £80k!! It's a 118d. And it will be it's first ever service, it's done just under 15,000 miles in it (although by next Friday it will be nearly 16,000). I've bought it over 3 years when I fully intend to replace it with another new one so obviously I don't want to do anything that will de-value the service history

    PS - I'm a she, not a he!!! ;)
Good wine needs to breathe, if it stops breathing try mouth to mouth.

I would take it to the place you bought it from after reading your last post.

Damn, that's some mileage in a short time! Must cost you a fortune in diesel :)
  • Take it any authorised BMW service centre. Your warranty is not linked to the dealer you processed your transaction through to buy it, but you'll be penalised on resale value if you can't tell the buyer (if they know their stuff or if you ever want to px it to a dealer) that you haven't got a full service history at a main franchised service centre.

There are very few independent service centres offering within-warranty BMW services so unless you are lucky and live near one, don't risk it.

Shop around for servicing prices though.
