Vanquis/Aquis card waiting time

Applied almost 2 months ago, went the through the phone confirmation exercise and have heard absolutely nothing since the beginning of March.

Does anyone know if this is normal or have I been rejected and they can't be bothered to tell me?

Thanks for any replies.

I applied at the end of March and got my call the next day to say that I had been accepted. I've still not got my card! I phoned after 14 days and was told the card was sent on the 4th April and I would have to wait til the 20th before I could report it missing! in the meantime I have received my pin and my direct debit confirmation! Anyway, needless to say, the card didn't come yesterday so I phoned and they've cancelled that card and now I need to wait for another one!!!! Anyway you should phone them incase your card gas gone astray! I've phoned 3 times now and the staff are lovely! Don't forget to use the freephone number on "say no to 0870"!

I have two defaults and a relatively small CCJ (July 2012)

Applied for a Vanquis card to help rebuild my credit. Received a call a week later to inform me i'd been accepted and ignored the Payment insurance hard sales.

Received my card with a credit limit of £1000 and an APR of 26%. Thats cheaper than my existing natwest CC card which has no balance anyway.

I call vanquis and the adviser said my rate is one of the lowest seen.

Can't say I was expecting this but i'm chuffed.

Really don't plan to use the card much and i've set a direct debit for the full balance.

    Any thoughts....

What advice are you wanting? You have applied for a card and got it.

Thats why im posting. I'm a long time viewer of MSE and i don't understand. I'm happy to screen shot the letter with credit limit and APR which is listed at 2.119% monthly for purchases, more for cash.

Yes, sorry it may be 26.9, excuse my maths. But still I was expecting a rate of 59.9% with my history or even a rejection.

The card is black with no mention of vanquis on the face. It was a purple hologram type image on the face.

Still don't get what you're after - you've got a rate better than you expected - where is the issue?
