Hi!:j
My friend is 41 ,she is on Income support-low income based, not contribution based and she got hoSsing benefit too,it is second month, she is living in flat and she loves it but she is very anxious that it woun't last for long. She has been out of work for long time and she was in abusive relationship, lately she was homeless,it took a long time for her to go and ask for help and information is very confusing, she would not know what is right answer to give in Job Centre or in Housing Benefit Office, could anybody give some assurance that she woun't be on the streets again?what to bear in mind?what are the risks?many thanks to anyone !:)

Forever. She might have to move from IS to JSA (job seekers) at some point and then onto Pension Credit but she can claim something including HB forever. Risks? I don't know of any...:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

Why is she on income support ?0

Not quite forever, policies and governments change.
The best answer is "forever she is eligible under current policies".
D70How about no longer being masochistic?
How about remembering your divinity?
How about unabashedly bawling your eyes out?
How about not equating death with stopping?0
