Quick London Travelodge question

Hopefully something that will be obvious to someone who knows London!!

Am hoping to book a couple of days in London to take my daughter to see a show one day, and to go on the Harry Potter studio tour another. Have been told that the train for the studios leaves from Euston. ( and our train from Glasgow gets in there too) The following Travelodges have sale prices for some of my possible dates - Tower Bridge, Central City Road, Covent Garden.

Can someone let me know which of these would be best to get to Euston from?

Thanks a lot - hoping to book them while the sale prices are still available

  • Well you could just look at a map even the one on the Travelodege page for each hotel.....

They are all fairly ok by tube - Covent Garden most central & best for show - Tower is interesting area - City might be quieter at weekend & generally least appealling

There is a fast train that goes from Euston to Watford Junction and this takes about 15-20 minutes. Also a slower, lot of stops train that goes there too, so make sure to get the fast one to save time. There is a special Harry Potter bus that goes every half hour from Watford Junction train station and it costs £2 return per person. We went to the tour last week and it is good for Harry Potter fans.

As the above poster says Covent Garden is often best for the West End Theatres. The best prices for London hotels are often on a Sunday, but then several shows are not on on Sunday. it is a 10 minute tube journey including one change to get to or from Euston to Covent Garden. 10 minute direct journey from Moorgate (City TL) to Euston. Tower Hill is the furthest away from Euston, but still only talking about 25 minutes using the tube and a walk between stations.
You can use the www.tfl.gov.uk to plan your journeys.

hi we are just back from london, and we stayed at the waterloo travelodge. to walk from the travelodge to euston was 45 mins, the taxi there cost us 16. tower hill is a bit out and if your seeing a show depending on what one it is e.g shrek or lion king staying at the waterloo travelodge is a straight walk home about 10 mins
