    Just a few observations :-

    The 3rd Party wall act, applies to anyone who is doing work on a wall that is within 3m of a neighbours wall (this can be a phycially shared wall or a seperate wall).

    As others have mentioned LA's frequently have guidelines on when building work can take place and not ! for example mine permits work between 8-6 m-f and sat mornings only. Best to check with your local planning / building control dept and find out if there are any restrictions.
