Do you have the option to defer payment of enhanced maternity pay? Where I work you have to return for 12 months to keep the pay, but you can opt NOT to receive it while on leave, but as a lump sum on return to work, so you don't have to make the decision but don't lose out on the cash. Obviously if you don't go back, no lump sum is due but there is nothing to repay.0

Yes - there is that option. Sounds like a good idea to do that. Woudn't want to spend the money and then struggle to pay it back.0
