No claims bonus .

My wife has a full no claims bonus on a vehicle that we both drive and I decided to buy her a treat after an illness, her own little car, when we insured she had had to pay the full amount with no discount for no claims bonus ,because we have retained and still drive the other vehicle.
My question is if a claim was made on the new car would it have an effect on the other policy or are they totally independent ,she has two policies running is there any link or need to inform about accidents on either ?
For example if she damaged the new car there would be no --no claims bonus to lose.

The Two Ncb Are Not Linked Now, If She Claims On The New Policy, It Will Not Affect The Ncb On The Old Policy.
But, If You Have Any Accident, You Need To Make Sure That Both Policies Have It Noted So Although Ncb On The Other Pol Wont Be Affected, The Ins Company Can Take Any Accidents In To Account To Determine Whether They Class You As Higher Risk.
Hope This Helps0
