Hi guys n gals
I have a very old mp3 player the Sony Walkman E 107.
The player has started to show that the "hold" button is constantly depressed, when the button is not in the hold position. So whenever I turn on the player the display flashes "hold" and then goes off again. Is the player knackered ??and if so can anyone recommend a cheap 2-4gb mp3 replacement.
Thanks in advance

Is it the type with the 3-position switch on the side, selecting folder skip, track skip, or hold?
The obvious conclusion would be either dirt in the switch, or a failed switch. All I can suggest is spraying some switch cleaner in the recesses of the switch slider, and hoping it reaches the contacts, moving the switch repeatedly to see if it dislodges dirt, or taking the player apart to do the same. Having tried to take one of these apart before, I wouldn't recommend it.....0 -
