Car advice - what should I do?

Ok, so my HP ends this September with £717 still to pay as a final settlement figure.
So my options are finish it, keep the car, mot and service it in September and tax it in June.
Or start up a new hp using this car as a deposit. Which will also cover paying off the remaining HP. Current value according to glass is £1,100.
I'm looking at a car that's one or two years old so no mot due just yet.
I've also got a personal plate which I'd like to transfer. How simple is this and how much would it cost?

I'd love to hear your thoughts.
