You can assume all my account details etc are at the top, but is this ok - seems to be to me.
When my account switched from a graduate account to a standard account in 2004 it appeared that overdraft protection was added to the account. At the time, I assumed this was normal, and fell within the terms and conditions of the graduate account. However, after some reading around and gaining advice, I find this not to be the case.
I do not believe I asked for this policy to be added to my account, nor do I recall it being sold to me. However, if the latter occurred, the policy would have provided me with no protection given the fact I worked as a contractor from an agency.
This policy was cancelled last week. Given this policy was never requested or was mis-sold on the basis of ineligibility, I request a refund of all the premiums paid.
I look forward to your response.

Yes, looks OK
I would be inclined to be a bit firmer with them, it sounds a bit like you want them to do you a favour, whereas you want them to return to you what they shouldn't have taken in the first place and is rightfully yours.
I've had a bit of a play with it see what you think

You're a tough marker!!:D
I wasn't trying to be too critical but I find dealing with banks, brevity is the key, as many of their staff suffer from attention deficit disorders.;)
Best wishes

Didnt see it as being critical, but reading yours I can see mine as more a request than a demand - sort of "pretty please can you" as a pose to "just do it" (or i send the boys round)No Longer works for MBNA as of August 2010 - redundancy money will be nice though.

I did this a couple of weeks ago - see my other thread.
They reckon cos it was over such a long time the headoffice wont agree to the full refund.
I did ask for help financially a few months after this proection was first applied to my account (i didnt know i had it) i wanted a couple of loan payments reduced but they wouldnt do it. But at the same time they didnt say I had this insurance on my overdraft.
Also when I called them up after I discovered it and was talking to one of our lovely indian call centres I was told that it didnt cost me anything hmmm
So least I have some ammo - i have told them to get the recordings. I am owed £211March 2006 £15,200+ in debt April £843.64 in debt - Debt Free date Sept 2009
Egg Credit Card - £843.64 5.7%0 -
Not sure on what im owed, but will assume it started in july 04 - two years after graduation- 32 months at around 10 a month (some more, some less) so £320 (that and my charges back from B'card - when they send statements will clear a debt)No Longer works for MBNA as of August 2010 - redundancy money will be nice though.

Will do sammiboo
And regarding your last post with barclays and call centres, I have the same complaint with your current/ex employer - though apparently (so I am told by the manager in my local store) you only have three, and the only foreign one is in South Africa - who speak far better english than most of those that apparently work in Warrington and Northampton (no offence i hope:o )
One point though - if head office wont agree, just hint at a complaint to the relevant regulatory authoritiesNo Longer works for MBNA as of August 2010 - redundancy money will be nice though.

Ah in that case you might find this of some interest. The site I am admin on one of our mods sent an email of complaint which was very amusing.

well i can only speak from the business side of things, i have nothing to do with homelines but looking at most of the people in that work in residential then you would be right, they let anyone in the residential side cos its all shift work and no one wants to do it. Much better service in the business side but i still wouldnt say it was a decent service.
Not too long ago a guy was in the canteen, he must have recently come over from africa or something and he was struggling to order what he wanted for his lunch, in the end he just pointed to stuff. Now how can you have someone who cant speak a word of english working on the phones??!!!March 2006 £15,200+ in debt April £843.64 in debt - Debt Free date Sept 2009
