Ink leaked in printer

Hi all
we have a HP office jet G845
we put in a duff cartridge and it leaked, now when we print everything its got loads of ink on the roller I thnik and it marks all the papers.
Is there anything we can do? OH is a hardware engineer, trained, so has all relevant toools, but advice is needed as we dont know where to start
