I'll add that last time we were at Bognor our passes were checked every time we used the pool or went to see the evening entertainment.

Well considering I only just got back from Bognor and no passes were issued I am going to take the gamble. If I come unstuck I will just buy them when we are there. Thanks for the info.

I think I have done the same Starframe18. Although I have just come back from butlins Bognor and no passes were need to get into the likes of CentreStage or Reds. All that was being requested was room key be shown.
I don't think we need to buy the Entertainment passes. Does anyone know???

    Thanks

I would really like to know this too. Its on my invoice to pay for these passes at £12 each plus the linen. Would you be able to get in to the swimming pool without them?

A quick question, apologies if this has already been answered.

I have a family of 7. If I only had 1 priority code, would I be able to book for 4 then ring the site and ask them to give the same price for the remaining 3?

What's the best way around this?

You could try, muddy, but I'm not sure they'd do it?

The max booking online is for 6 people - you might squeeze 7 in some places. But if you wanted two separate accomodations the only guaranteed way is to have two priority codes.

I book two accomodations when I go on two separate priority codes; one for my family and one for my mum & dad (she gets her own code).

If you contact them, perhaps they'll give you a code?

Don't know if anyone has answered this for you but we have booked for 7 before (I think the max is 8 on one booking).

Hi, has anyone been to Pontins Holiday Park Southport? I've been on several Sun Holidays mainly to Thorpe Park Cleethorpes and i can highly recommend this lovely clean haven holiday site, unfortunatly i didn't get my first choice this time i got pontins Southport and its got the most horrendous reviews, normally i take no notice because its ourselves who make the holiday enjoyable but most of the reviews report that the chalets are really dirty and run down, i dont expect brilliant accommadation for the price but it should be clean, you're not allowed to change once you've booked so i'm not looking forward to this at all, has anyone got any advice or has actually been to this holiday park, your advice would be much appreciated.

ok i've received my invoice this morning. According to the invoice I've got to pay for

    4 entertainment passes £28
    4 half board supplements £64
    £30 power charge

there is only 2 of us going. This adds another £122 onto the £62 (ish) that we've already paid. It's been a long time since I actually went on one of these but I can't remember being charged for power before - and to me £30 is a lot (more than I put in my own meter a week).

This is for Craig Tara in Ayr.

If there is only 2 of you definately going then ring them up and say you only want pay for 2 entertainment passes (£14) and 2 half board sups (£32). If you dont want to use the onsite facitilites such as swimming or the evening entertainment then you can cancel the entertainment passes. You cannot use the facilities without the passes at this site as they are very strict. We book direct and had to show our passes for everything.

Unfortunately the power 'charge' of £30 also covers cleaning of caravan/chalet etc and YOU have to pay for this. Some companies call it a service charge. It will also include your water, electricity and gas supplies as well as the maid cleaning service before and after you vacate the property. if you do arrive and it isnt clean etc then you can COMPLAIN as technically you have paid for it.

My advice? use it full whack. Leave heating on all night if its cold and leave lights on at night if you go out.........
