Easybus avoid at all cost

We booked to get to Stanstead airport with Easybus 4 weeks ago
and printed the tickets.

We get into Paddington 40 mins before the bus leaves gloucester place which is a easy 15/20 min walk.

Now we get a email from easybus that we have to get the earlier bus leaving 30 mins prior to the one we booked which leaves us 10 mins to get to gloucester place only hope is a taxi.

I have checked and the original bus is still running but they must have had a group booking and kicking us off to take the group. I find this a disgusting practice and will never use them again .

    Unfortunately, they appear to have covered themselves for this.
    5.4 Our Liability for Cancellations and Withdrawals of an easyBus Service:

    Our liability is limited to that stated in these Conditions of Carriage:

    Except as provided in these Conditions of Carriage, we shall not be liable for any loss, damage, liability or cost suffered by you as a result of any cancellation or withdrawal of any easyBus Service by us, or any delay to or termination of any easyBus Service.

    This means they can cancel or change your booking at any point, even if its last minute and you miss your flight because of it and they will hold no liability for this.

  • I had a really bad experience with Easybus. I have made a booking for a transfer to Luton airport from London Earl's court on Cromwell Road. I waited for more than 40 minutes for a bus to show up and..nothing.
    In the end, I called the "direct line" and a robot has told me that all the buses from Earls Court to Luton Airport HAVE BEEN CANCELLED. I arrived late at the airport and I missed my flight.

    When I asked the lady at the Luton airport desk, she did confirmed that the bus was indeed cancelled, but she did not offer any refund and she made me pay again for the trip back to London.

    I wrote a complain to the so called "customer service" form, but I did not get any reply. They do not have any phone number, email address...nothing. Probably that says a lot about their services..

    I don't know if I will get any compensation for all the extra expenses incurred with re-booking another flight and the transport back and forth from the airport, but my advice is to stay away from them. There are other companies that go to Luton airport...

    T&Cs like this often aren't enforceable as the law overrides them, they can't charge for a service and then disclaim all responsibility when they screw up. They just put things like this in the T&Cs to put people off complaining. May be worth a visit to the CAB and see what they say.
