Zafira Dual fuel 1.8L

Got a 52 reg Zafira Dual fuel 1.8L.

It's got EML and Traction control light on. Taken it to local Vauxhall dealer for diagnostics.

It shows code C0256, P0202 & P0134. ABS ok. Maybe ECU fault?

Have been charged £ 147.84, which feels excessive? Is this normal charges?

Quoted £500 for new ECU.

Please suggest how to tackle this problem

If the codes are the same for my reader.

P0134 O2 Circuit No Activity Detected (Bank 1, Sensor 1)

    P0202 Injector Circuit / Open - Cylinder 2

P0256 Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control B

More like a fuel system or injector issue to me.

£147 excessive for how many hours work + diagnostic charges which can be £80+

They need to check to see if the injectors are actually doing their job properly

Which is exactly what it sounds like they're doing...... If dealerships employed experienced mechanics instead of school kids armed with a laptop, i'd have much mire faith in their ability to locate and rectify a fault.

Quite probably the faults relate to the LPG system.

Might need the LPG side looking at and calibrating.

    Don't go changing random parts!!

Seek advice from an LPG specialist who's familiar with the factory fit vauxhall system.

    Thanks for your suggestions.

Dealer charges £55 for hooking to diagnostics and £ 100 for further investigations. Have ruled out ABS /LPG problems now want further £100 to isolate LPG and check.

Till now roughly about 60 mins job done.

As dealer commented that problem was on petrol side, and wanted £100 to do further testing, when car ran out of LPG we didn't refill it and kept running on petrol.

On monday, it started making funny noises and stalling and there was loss of power and went into failsafe or limp mode.

Contacted Underwoods urgently to book it in, on the way it stalled violently at roundabout.

But surprise ! Surprise! started immediately, no warning lights and was very smooth to drive better than anytime before.

Today we filled with LPG and compared the drive in both. Now the warning lights EML and T/C has come back but only erratic not present always.

So cancelled the appointment with Underwoods, as I feel it's either a loose connection or blockage.

Any suggestions or please recommend suitable / reasonable diagnostic tools to solve this problem?

Has it had new spark plugs recently? If not change those. This is just a tiny tweek that you can do to make sure it's not as simple as that,......... which it can be.
