Hi,just a quick question, Is Consolidated Financial Insurance the same as ppi. From the online bank statements hubby has been paying since at least 2002,Would the consolidated insurance pay out on sickness and unemployment?Does it just give you a sum of money if you had to claim. If this is so, we would'nt of needed the ppi on any loans we got:/Can't seem to find any paperwork to get any answers,so i thought i would come to the next best place ;-)Hope this makes sense to some-one,thanks

Consolidated Financial Insurance is the name of the insurer. It is not the name of a product.Would the consolidated insurance pay out on sickness and unemployment?
Why not ask Consolidated?Does it just give you a sum of money if you had to claim.
That is what insurance is designed to do.
Based on the CFI plans I have seen in the past, it is unlikely to be PPI. Typically they are more hospital or accident cash plans. Most are bought under direct offer although Lloyds used to retail some of their products many years ago.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -
Hi I'm sort of repeating the same question here but basically after starting to read this website I began looking into my accounts for PPI which I found and have put my claims in.
However I also found that from 2002 to 2007 a direct debit called
CONSLDTD FINCL INS
That's all I have as well as a ref code of random numbers and letters.
I've called the bank, been ito the bank and tried the GE insurance idea above but no one can help
Has anyone any ideas who this could be or if there is a service you can use to find out. The bank is useless and has no way of knowing apparently
Thanks
