boot in safe mode (tap f8 at startup)
then shutdown
if the error appears then its quite serious
if it doesn't then its being caused by a driver or application0 -
No sign of it when on safe mode. And it's intermittent now when in normal mode.Sigless0

ok
start > run type "msconfig" (without quotes)
enter
on the startup tab uncheck everything then click ok
now enable them one by one until the error starts again, this may take a while
also note that your anti virus will be disabled until you check the entries for it again so be careful what you do while you are testing0 -
Okay, done that (thankfully I only have 5 things starting up). No sign of the message error even when everything is enabled.Sigless0
