i was unfortunate enough to have swift roofing to replace my roof 18 months ago, what should have been a 7 day job turned into a three and a half week headache of him disappearing or not even bothering to turn up. when the job was finished he turned up that same evening for his money and reluctantly handed over a handwriiten guarantee wih the parting words that it would be rendered void if he thought anyone else had been on my roof for any reason within the 3 year period,he came back a couple of months ago to replace one of the tiles that had come off the roof but since before xmas i have asked him to call back to re mortar an area of the roof that has had huge chunks of mortar come out where it had been left with cracks in it. the replies he has given are that because next door had their roof done last year the banging and knocking will have caused it to come away and that it is not a fault on his part, hes tried saying that someone must have been on my roof and therefore he isnt obliged to come back, have had the remortering done by another roofer, who has told me that it is a second rate job for full rate money paid, if anyone is considering having this bunch i would seriously suggest you dont!.

I would seriously think of reporting him to Trading Standards - even if you don't want a refund and it is some time ago, it would be worthwhile letting them know for future reference if there are other complaints.0
