Only snogging lessons would have been more mortifying!
How about Scottish country dancing. :eek:Lost my soulmate so life is empty.

we all danced at once, with the teacher in the middle of the hall attempting to teach us the moves (I still recall very clearly one of the male PE teachers demonstrating the cha-cha - hilarious it was :rotfl::rotfl:).
Sometimes the girls picked the boys, sometimes the boys picked the girls.0 -

ballroom was worse, in my opinion (we only did Scottish country dancing in primary school, but to be honest I still remember and still can do the Scottish country dances at family do's - in fact I taught my DD a couple of dances last weekend at my uncle's 90th birthday party). Apart from the quickstep and the waltz, even my aunts, uncles, grannys etc didn't do ballroom dancing.

Jeez, its bad enough being picked last when its just because you can't catch, when its opposite sex dance partners the pressure must be insane!0 -

But the fact is that cold and wet weather can lead to colds being spread, as the person who has been shivering out in the cold and rain will have a lower core temperature. Their immune system will be weaker as a result of these conditions, and when they return to a warm place, the body, in particular the respiratory system will not function properly, leading to runny noses, and breathing through the mouth, something which promotes the spread of infection (breathing through the nose filters out germs and harmful bacteria most of the time).
If a person is outside for long enough without adequate clothing, in the cold, then they may develop hypothermia.0 -

i don't remember it being a huge deal, probably because it was such a big mixed class, there were easily 90 kids in each of those dance lessons.0 -
There were a few sporty souls in our class who enjoyed PE but the majority of us didn't. Kids generally enjoy being active, if they hate PE, is that not down to the teaching methods rather than the activity?
i hated PE but that was because i couldnt do it not couldnt as in not very good at it, couldnt as in couldnt because i spent most of my school life (as in middle and high school) on crutches and in a leg brace
im pleased i missed it tbh, they only seemed to do cross country or orienteering0 -

The pressure would be huge although at least I might have made a better attempt at my waltz with my husband at our wedding.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.
