Cinema sound loops vent!

Went to the cinema last week with a friend who is partly deaf and uses a hearing aid. The cinema has a loop to put the sound directly onto the hearing aid but when my friend used it the sound track was about 20secs behind the picture and sound from the screen!
Friend says they are all like it! He has complained but nothing can be done, it is like listening to a constant loud echo!!!

Which cinema? Name and shame! 20 seconds is clearly a technical fault (although there may be a case for a few milliseconds lag thanks to the decoding, recoding, transmission, and decoding again)0

The installed loop works in real time, so unlikely to be a problem with the cinema's loop. More likely to a problem with the Telecoil in the hearing aid itself, which does have to de-code the input etc. The comment that your friend says "they are all like it" supports that view.
By all means complain to the cinema, but get the hearing aid and the T programme checked by your audiologist in the first instance, ESP if you have not attended your regular review check-ups for more than 12 months.0
