Adventure motorcycling... for charity or through normal tour companies

I'm planning to do a motorbike tour somewhere exotic. Thoughts on going on a charity vs normal expedition?
Key differences etc.?

Charity:-

Normal:-

PS...

Riders for Health recommends this day course for £199. Have anyone been on it or others they can recommend?

I've done both Vietnam and nepal as motorbike holidays not charity/holidays. Can't recommend Vietnam more highly beautiful place and people are amazing great to see by bike.

I have a few friends who have done charity adventure rides, some with private tours and others who DIY. They have all said they enjoyed their adventure, even Bob who broke his leg on day 1 :rotfl:.

Charity ride tours are very expensive and encourage participants to get donations. If you decide to do that please do not bug your friends. Very little of the money raised goes to charity and I object  to being asked to fund someone's holiday.
