Getting MPAN number - Npower being unhelpful!

Is anybody here 'in the know' or with DNO contacts able to give me my Supply / MPAN number from a meter serial number?. I've already tried the existing supplier Npower, but true to form, they are totally hopeless and their customer services just tell me to refer to my bill, and emailed enquiries to the email address listed for MPAN enquiries never get answered at all.

My meter is on a pre-pay system, so a bill only comes once or twice a year, so it might be several months before I can 'refer' to it for the information.

I can email or PM the meter serial number if anybody can help

It is listed on your bill with the supply number. There was always a silly policy in the industry about a supplier giving out the MPAN but they can send it to your address in letter form. Its a remnant of the old days before data protection checks became commonplace over the phone.

If you only need your MPAN, you need to ring the distributors MPAS phone number and give them your address. They can confirm the meter matches and should be able to confirm the MPAN.

The address is the best way to search as MPAS will do. Meter numbers in supplier, agent and distribution databases are more commonly incorre t compared to the address.
