Facebook comp to win London 2012 gold coins

Hi all,

Just spotted a facebook comp run by British Carrots to win a set of two 22ct gold coins to commemorate the London 2012 Olympics. Entrant have to write in for a free carrot whistle (!) and then video themselves playing a 'gold themed' song.

Would you be ok to edit your title to include the end date and so it's in the same format as all the other comps on here - this will prevent it being moved to Game Over and allow compers who enter by end date to find it - just click edit and go advanced.

Yes, you read correctly...carrot musical instruments! Just drill a few holes into your carrot and it can be transformed into a carrot whistle, much like the recorder you used to play at school. You may or may not be aware that there’s a whole world of people out there interested in carrot whistles. Just type the words into your search engine and a staggering 64 millions results come up!

Top prize is a limited edition London 2012 set of two gold coins made of 22 carat gold and worth a whopping £1,200! All you have to do to enter is video yourself playing a ‘gold’ themed song on your carrot whistle and post it on our wall.

You could try a rendition of the classic Bond theme ‘Goldfinger’, belt out the 80s hit ‘Gold’ by Spandau Ballet or even explore your urban side with a bit of Kanye West’s ‘Golddigga’ – get as creative as you like!

Just write to us using the address below with a stamped (you'll need 4 1st class stamps) self addressed and clearly marked large jiffy bag/ padded envelope and we’ll send you your very own carrot whistle, free of charge (but hurry, supplies are limited).Then whistle away to a ‘golden’ tune, video it and post your best efforts on our wall. Get as many of your friends to ‘like’ your whistling video and we’ll choose our favourite to be the ‘Olympic Gold Medallist’!
