Hands-free
I dislike the thing that goes on the ear, but I'm too much of a scrooge to pay for a proper installation in the car. Is the parrot thing any good?

Hi Micky,
As you haven't had any replies on the I wanna board I'll move your thread over to the motoring board to see if you can get some help there.

I can vouch for Parrot, although i don't have that particular model. I have had mine for over 2 years and it's great....saying that, i found a review for you! http://www.trustedreviews.com/peripherals/review/2006/11/13/Parrot-Minikit-Bluetooth-Speakerphone/p1Sponsored by Tesco Clubcard Points !!0

If you have a bluetooth phone then I can recommend the Jabra SP500 which just clips on to your sun visor. Both myself and a friend have been using them for over 6 months with excellent results. Long battery life after recharging, crystal clear reception and with voice commands
Picked ours up off ebay for around £200 -
Thanks for the replies, I've just bought the Jabra0

I have been using the Parrot ck3100 for about 18 mths now, up to 2-3 hours a day, and find it brilliant, it has voice recognition, caller display, and mutes radio. Fitting took me about 1 hr and simply plugs in the back of the radio (depending what car you have) Cost me about £75 and can thoroughly recommend it.I am a Mortgage Adviser

Jabra works well, although volume could be higher. It's a bit bigger than I thought it would be but still good value for money.0

Parrot handsfree are excellent. Well recommended if you have the cash.
Mind you I am in the same boat as the OP so may look at the Jabramatched betting: £879.63

I have the real money saving solution.
Give phone to daughter and tell her to answer it.
Of course this isn't any use when travelling alone, so on those occasions I ignore the phone and call back when I stop.
Okay I appreciate this is not practical for some people, but there does seem to be allot of people who think that they NEED handsfree, as if they can't possibly leave a phone unanswered.0
