The ludicrous situation of stitching up FTB's

Did you wait for the Land Reg figures to be updated?
Nope, the agents told me once the vendors had made their choice (without me asking specifically too)0 -
Wanted to update this because, quite frankly, a few of you on here jumped to conclusions about the kind of person I was (not very nice according to some of you) and immediately blamed me for the situation. One reply likened it to playground bullying - luckily sticks and stones etc.....
Well the upshot is that I am actually a nice, educated, reasonable person who was just having a rant, and why should I not be able to have a rant? (not that I care what an anonymous bunch on a website think - when I had a few quiet moments it was amusing to see how easily some of you appeared to get wound up).To those who were critical, - says more about you than it does me - but then isn't what this forum is famous for?
Back ot the topic - I emailed the EA after being told the vendor went with a cash buyer and lower offer. Along the lines of "shame this happened, what advice for me for the future, no-ones fault but the result of the situation with mortgage companies etc"
EA emailed back 2 days later to say the vendor had now asked the cash buyer to increase their offer to match mine. A day after that EA called and said CB didn't up their offer so I got the flat!
Not updated anything until now as I then went through the hoops that are called 'the mortgage application' and was waiting to know I had the offer. That came through today so now I'm all set to go.
Next time I want a rant about something I'll come here particulary for the abuse and judgements. :-)
And no fussy FTB antics for me, the quicker this proceeds the better. Its a good property and I am happy with what I have offered for it.
Thanks all (even to you meanies).0 -

Good of you to come back, but it's a bit of a climb-down from your original post that blamed everything on a giant conspiracy (including the coalition govt.)
Anyway, I'm pleased that you seem to be steaming ahead with the purchase.
Don't forget to gazunder just prior to exchange back down to the highest cash offer they had. Toodle pip!No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
