hotel booking sites that let you pay on arrival

Options
Hi
Silly request really.... but thought i would ask

there is a hotel we have been before, and the hotel website claims its fully booked

if i go to trivago there is 83 sites letting me book the days i want

the only thing is, when i book direct through the hotel I pay on arrival, which i prefer - also for this break im paid the day before i leave, which would have made booking direct easier

any ideas on what other sites do it? (i know laterooms do)

Other hotel websites may have allocations through 'bed banks' such as https://www.lowcostbeds.com and their terms and conditions are likely to be different because you are booking through a third party.

If the hotel has sold to bed banks and its own allocation is also sold out then in the hotel's eyes it is sold out.

One of my favourite hotels in Spain deals with these bed banks and sometimes the bed bank reduces unsold rooms below the hotel's price which can be a win for the money saver, even though you have to pay in advance.

I always do a thorough search that includes

    The hotel's website
    https://www.booking.com
    https://www.hotelscombined.com
    https://www.hotelscomparison.com

I have booked hotel rooms through https://www.hrs.com - trying to remember the last time I booked a room. I think that I gave my card details at the time of booking but nothing was taken from the card and when I arrived at the hotel I had to pay for the room and present my card.

In March I booked through lastminuterooms.com. It was only for one night in Norwich, but they don't take the money, the hotel did that on arrival. They are also on Top Cash Back
    Growing old disgracefully!

Hotel websites such as alpharooms and the like buy allocations from lowcostbeds and other bed banks.

It is best to do a thorough search that includes
    https://www.hotelscombined.com
    https://www.hotelscomparison.com

to double check prices that may include hotel rates originating from bed banks that non trade people don't have access to.

    I second booking.com.
I've used them for my upcoming welsh roadtrip, great places, great site/prices, and I only have to pay on arrival or leaving.

  • Same here just booked with booking.com, had a choice pay up 544 or book at 588 with no deposit and the facility to cancel right up until the day before. It means I can keep my money longer and if I wanted to, keep on looking for another hotel.
  • I use the technique in the article
    dasheen.hubpages.com/hub/Search-30-Top-Hotel-Booking-Sites-With-1-Click
to try to get the cheapest rate.. Many of the sites give you the option
to pay on arrival which is always preferable..
