mobility benefit car tax exemption

can someone just answer a question please. My dad has dla care and high rate mobility and recently returned his mobility car and wont be leasing another. He says he wants to use his tax disc allowance and provide tax for my car but I wanted to check before I accept what the conditions of use are. My car will be his main vehicle in that if he goes out I will be taking him but I also use my car for work and for family activities which he isnt always present for. Would I not need to have a normal disc for these times as surely using the disability one wouldnt be really fair as he isnt with me then? Just want to make sure I am doing nothing wrong.
thanks
thanks

You shouldn't use your father's free tax disc for your car as the Direct Gov website says that
"To apply for a free disabled tax disc, the vehicle must be either:- registered in your name
- registered in the name of someone who only uses their vehicle to help you – for example, takes you shopping".

And nobody gets caught to my knowledge. The car can be used to carry out tasks on behalf of the claimant and the claimant doesn't need to be present in the car so as a result it is almost impossible to enforce:
"Hello Sir, I see you have a disabled tax disc. Are you the claimant?
"No, its Mr.X"
"Is Mr. X with you?"
"No however I'm using the car to do collect something for them."
....which they cannot disprove even if its the other end of the country.0 -
thats fine, thanks for help, i was pretty sure it wasnt right to use it but that clarifys it, thanks0
