It is his fault, but how hard is it for a BANK to transfer money from one account to another?
I've worked hands on with the latest versions of Vision+ (a major credit card banking software package) and pretty damn simple.
The point being though that someone can't make a mistake and them blame someone else for not putting it right quickly enough!
Don't make the mistake in the first place, then you won't need to worry about it!!!!!!!!0 -

I've been through a fair few credit cards over the last few years, and have always had a conversation with the Retentions department when closing them. They rarely offered me anything that would interest me, but I was surprised to not be offered anything at all.0 -
I had a Santander Zero credit card £7 in credit on my March 2012 statement and it was reported to the CRAs as a nil balance.0

Thank you to everyone for your responses (especially Martin - what an honour). I'll summarise everything back in the first post for anybody curious and finding their way here in the future.-Al,

I was looking back via Noddle credit history to my Egg Money credit card. At times it was 4K negative ( in credit to me). Egg were paying 4% per annum interest on this money. I would never knowingly put a card in credit by more than £50 these days.
In my bizarre way I'd rather pay off the card before the statement was due.

I ended up with a credit balance on a card after it was used fraudelently for a small amount.
I was advised by the provider to make the minimum payment so as not to cause a missed payment and they subsequently refunded the fraudulent payment amount so I ended up in credit.
This was months ago and I had quite forgotten about it but have just checked and indeed I have £8.75 to spend - about to go wild!
Thanks for reminding me about this!0
