Working tax credit £16,000.00 threasehold?

Options
Apologies if I sound abit thick, but I'm getting slightly confused about the whole working tax credit amount being paid in 2012. I have tried to do my own homework by looking up on the hmrc website, just to make sure I budget the money for the following year, but I can't see anything on there about the threasehold being up to £16,000.00?
My next question is this if my partner earns the same amount as what he did last year £18,000.00, I don't work and I have two small children does this mean I will no longer get working tax credit? I did both martin lewis calculations and hmrc tax calculations and both have come out differently.
Hope someone can help me
Thanking you kindley

The threshold is different for everyone and depends on your circumstances. I certainly wouldn't use the calculator on this website as an accurate result.

Use https://www.entitledto.co.uk or the HMRC calculator.

You will get two different results between them because entitledto calculates the whole year whereas HMRC calculates the amount from the day you use the calculator.

You are probably borderline for getting any WTC, unless you have disabilities, but the threshold for WTC hasn't changed a great deal this year but your income may have changed from 10/11 which might cause a fall in WTC this year.

Have you contacted HMRC, they will tell you what your award will be for this year.
