DLA renewal & motability

Hi,
Was hoping for a bit of advice really.
I am currently awaiting a decision on my 2nd DLA renewal. This is my first renewal whilst on the motability scheme.

I've been a little late in returning my form and my DLA expires in June.

Was wondering what would happen if no decision has been made by the time my current application expires. Will the motabilty car be taken away from me .

Does anyone know the current wait on a decision at the moment.

It's difficult to say how long it will take. I was late once due to being too poorly etc, the Garage at the time let us keep the car until we heard. However things have changed since so I think your best course of action would be:

1. Contact Motability
2. Conact the Garage where you got your car, relaying what motability said
3. Contact DLA dept and ask their advice also.

These are the three places best to as use you as it has all changed. You may be able to keep the car up to four weeks after your renewal date, but ring the above and find out.
