booking a holiday for 2013?

Options
hi folks, not sure if this will sound stupid but here goes. It's my husbands 40th at xmas, and I'd like to book us a holiday for later that year (doesn't matter when, so long as it's not xmas), but when I go on the different package holiday websites, nothings coming up. Am totally flexible on dates, destinations, (long city weekend etc) and departure airport, but can't find anything. I'm looking now, so I will know how much it will cost and can have it paid/saved for by xmas, but not sure what I'm doing wrong? Any help would be appreciated, thanks. (ps, although the destination is flexible, would really love santorini, but don't know when is the best time to book?) TIA

  • When I have tried to book in advance the longest time away for prices is about 9 months. You will have to wait until the summer is over really and if you are looking for next summer then you'll probably get a decent deal in the winter.
