Have you been to Aberdeen then?

Because the Beach Retail Park has it in its planning conditions that the car park must also be made available for match parking at Pittodrie (NO LAUGHING! plz!) and for other public events at the beach.

Which was fine when the council were also the park landlords and factors for the stores there but since they sold-off their retail parks a few years back, the usual collection of shonky PPCs have taken over and pay this no heed at all. A similar situation also applies at another formerly council-owned retail park that was required to serve as parking for a local college and no-doubt the two other sites they sold had similar conditions for other local purposes.

In fact complaints and reports in the local press have followed the usual misinformation about PPC "fining" and "appeals" and the council have done absolutely nothing to rectify the position nor enforce the conditions.

(First time post, long time lurker!)

I'm a regular user of the Beach Retail Park, for the DW gym. I noticed the other day that the signs made mention of "Matchday Parking" being limited to 90 minutes before they wrote you a nice letter asking for some money. I wasn't actually aware that it was in the planning conditions that there was provision for matchday parking.

Not that any of it really bothers me, I'm still waiting on my first begging letter from the goons of PE, I frequently park for longer than their arbitrary 3 hours whilst using the gym and then Asda. They obviously don't like me, they haven't written to me yet in over 2 years

We don't really count Croydon as 'London' though, any more than the 'games' played out at that excuse for a stadium could be considered 'football'! :rotfl:
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • While at the match this weekend, I had a good look round for the "terms and conditions" signs - couldn't find any. All I could find were the parking marshalls are patrolling for disabled/P&C space infringements. No time limits, that I could see. Might risk it for a biscuit next week, as my two year old is getting fatter and more wriggly by the day.
