I am stumped where to post this thread.
I have a small autograph book (1926) which was my mother's when she started training in the GPO. Lots of rhymes, poems etc & drawings- very typical of the era. I don't know any of the people and am loathe to just ditch it. (Its not local to the area where I live so no point offering it to local museum)
If anyone can make use of it please PM me.

Is it worth offering to the local museum of the area where your mum used to live?

Or writing to that local paper to offer it?

Yes, I had thought of that but wouldn't know where to start looking for local papers / museums in Catford/Lewisham area. Never knew that area, or City of London where she trained.
I mean autographs of Welsh miners at the Albert Hall- clearly a labour party rally - or similar!
Theres so much junk in my house what's one bit more? except it is bugging me!

Ah, but I know Lewisham and Catford - not well, because they've moved all the roads since I lived near ...

Lewisham Mercury - it's part of a wider group of papers so the

LB Lewisham - not sure where local history 'lives'.

I think Catford would come under Lewisham.
