Silestone sink

Has anyone got their sink made out of silestone as well as their worktop? How are they for showing limescale etc as I live in a hard water area, don't own a dishwasher so would be using it quite alot !!
Is the extra expense worth it??

Thanks :)

  • We sell a lot of the silestone sink and they are very good indeed. We are in a very hard water area and haven;t seen problems but admittedly havent sold any sinks in black which is notorious for limestone.

Can I ask why you aren't having a dishwasher? They are very efficient and a good dishwasher will allow you to wash almost everything in them without adverse consequences.

Hi, weeny kitchen and not got the room! Was either a washing machine or a dishwasher......no contest! Was trying to cut the cost of appliances etc by looking on the internet and found the sinks!!! Saw the ones in johnny lew on an alno kitchen and just love the seamless lines of them........ Is it a rollover on the lottery???
  • They're not cheap but it depends what you are comparing it to. They are much more than steel sinks. They are about the same price as Corian Mixa sinks if you are likely to go down the corian route.

Our friend has just had a kitchen sink installed with their Silestone worktop. The price of the sink wasn't that more than some of your branded sinks and it looks fantastic. They got it from the same place where we got our Silestone top from a company called Stone Valley Work Surfaces. They were by far the most competitive on the material and their service is fantastic. They have a website that you can have a look at and i'm sure if you get in touch with them they can send you some images of the sinks.
