    Sellers can sell to anyone they like for whatever price they like.

    The final price may have been reduced due to some fault found after survey.

    It doesn't matter what the reason was.

    Selling houses is no different to selling anything else.

    That sucks! My guess would be that the offer they accepted was indeed higher, then the cash buyer threw his hands in the air and claimed all calamity when the survey came back and threatened to pull out and they then dropped the price to keep the deal going. Very sad. :-(

    Yep, they can sell it to whoever they like for any price they like. Maybe they didn't like the look of you, who knows?

    Thanks for the info was just asking. We've been told it was a builder who purchased the property. I'm sick to death of looking for a home now. About to throw the towel in completely and just move to another rented property and concentrate on our wedding next year instead.
