PPI Nationwide Credit Card

Hello

I have started the process of claiming PPI and have recived a copy of my T and C's from a Nationwide credit card I first opened in 2001 and then closed in 2011 when I paid off the balance. I had PPI for ALL that time :embarasse

I applied for the card by filling out a form, part of which states:

We recommend that Nationwide Credit Card customers protects their card payments against being able to work.

Yes I would like to take out PPI (£60 per £100 outstanding balance)

I ticked yes (stupid)

I think they mis sold because I didn't need it but felt like I should, ie they were RECOMMENDING it. there was no further information on the PPI.

It seems fairly clear cut but does anyone have any experience of this?

Thanks

That is generic, not specific to you and therefore does not count as advice.
    I ticked yes

That is where your complaint fails.

For the reasons I have given, I think your complaint should be be rejected.
  • Thank you for replying.

When I received the forms I did think that I had no chance as I had ticked 'yes' but it was their use of the word recommend that made me re-consider.

I think (not sure) that I filled out form during an appointment with a member of staff who (again I think) did suggest that I took it out.

But that was 10 years, 2 kids and a lifetime ago!! So can't really remember.

I might give it a go anyway but not expect much.
    Thanks again:)
